Town of Tonegawa River Source
It is located in northernmost of Gunma and surrounded by Jyoshin'etsu Kogen National Park, Tanigawadake Ichinokurasawa, Mt. Tairappyoyama, and beautiful view of lightning bug at Tonegawa river. This town has wide appeal such as rich fountainheads of Onsen spots and facilities where you can experience traditional cultures.

There are many nature stroll spots around Tonegawa river and Akayagawa river in the town. You can enjoy fresh greenery and colored leaves at Okutoneko lake, Naramatako lake, Dogenko lake, Fujiwarako lake, Akayako lake, Ominenuma pond, Terihakyo, Suwakyo, Minakamikyo, and Kuroiwa Keikoku. There is Urami no Taki falls as well. And also you can enjoy mountain climbing and hiking at Mikuniji Nature promenade, Jyoshin'etsu promenade, Okutone Suigen no Mori, Mt. Omineyama, and Tanigawa ropeway.
There are 9 kinds of fruit trees at large area, and you can fruit picking, picnic, and experience homemade jam and bread. It is enjoyable to see, pick, make, and eat.
The ruin of Yaze is government-designated digs. It is restored at Michi no Eki Yaze Shinsui park where has a roller slider, a playground equipments, and spots for BBQ. You can eat in and buy fresh farm products at "Tsukiyono Harvest" in the park.
You can experience the way of living in mountain village, traditional industrial arts, and making konnyaku at more than 20 houses. You can experience making a bloom glass, a stained glass, and more at Glass Industrial Arts Factory, “Tsukiyono Vidro Park.” And also you can taste a local beer which is made by Czech’s process at Tsukiyono Brewery, “Dobry Den.”
